About the role
As a Shopify Developer at Starcodia, you will work on a variety of projects for established ecommerce brands. Your work will include theme development, customization of existing themes, building custom functionality, and implementing integrations.
This is a mid-level role suited for developers with Shopify experience who want to deepen their expertise while working on interesting projects for real clients.
What you will do
- Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
- Build custom storefront functionality beyond standard theme capabilities
- Implement theme app extensions and app integrations
- Execute platform migrations, rebuilding stores on Shopify
- Optimize theme performance for Core Web Vitals and speed
- Debug issues and provide technical solutions to client problems
- Collaborate with designers and project managers to deliver quality work
What we are looking for
- 2+ years of Shopify development experience
- Strong proficiency with Liquid templating language
- Solid JavaScript, HTML and CSS skills
- Experience with Git version control
- Understanding of ecommerce best practices
- Attention to detail and quality focus
- Good communication skills for client-facing work
Nice to have
- Experience with Shopify Plus features
- Knowledge of React or Vue for storefront apps
- Experience with Shopify app development
- Performance optimization expertise
