About the role

As a Shopify Developer at Starcodia, you will work on a variety of projects for established ecommerce brands. Your work will include theme development, customization of existing themes, building custom functionality, and implementing integrations.

This is a mid-level role suited for developers with Shopify experience who want to deepen their expertise while working on interesting projects for real clients.

What you will do

  • Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Build custom storefront functionality beyond standard theme capabilities
  • Implement theme app extensions and app integrations
  • Execute platform migrations, rebuilding stores on Shopify
  • Optimize theme performance for Core Web Vitals and speed
  • Debug issues and provide technical solutions to client problems
  • Collaborate with designers and project managers to deliver quality work

What we are looking for

  • 2+ years of Shopify development experience
  • Strong proficiency with Liquid templating language
  • Solid JavaScript, HTML and CSS skills
  • Experience with Git version control
  • Understanding of ecommerce best practices
  • Attention to detail and quality focus
  • Good communication skills for client-facing work

Nice to have

  • Experience with Shopify Plus features
  • Knowledge of React or Vue for storefront apps
  • Experience with Shopify app development
